Set up your deck.

Four steps, about five minutes. When you're done, a licence scanned on your phone fills the guest form on your front-desk computer — no typing.

How it works

Three parts, one line.

Your phone reads the ID. The scan travels sealed — we can't open it — and lands on the one computer you paired. The extension puts it in the form.

INSTALLING
STEP 01

Install the deck

Download it on the computer that runs your PMS — the one at the front desk.
  1. Sign in at deck.caelis.io and pick macOS or Windows.
  2. Unzip the download.
  3. Open the app — on Mac, right-click › Open.
Your computer will warn you once, because the app isn't code-signed yet. Mac: right-click › Open › Open. Windows: More info › Run anyway. It only asks the first time.
STEP 02

Pair your phone

The deck shows a code the moment it opens. Scanning it links that computer to your account — once, forever.
  1. On the computer, a window shows a QR code.
  2. On your phone, open CAELIS › Settings › Deck Listeners.
  3. Tap + and point the camera at the code.
  4. Both sides turn green. That's it.
Restarting the computer or the app doesn't break it — the deck reconnects on its own. You only scan again if you remove the deck on purpose.

STEP 03

Add the browser extension

The deck receives the scan; the extension is what puts it into the form. Chrome, Edge, Brave — any Chromium browser.
  1. Download Browser extension from the deck page and unzip it.
  2. Open chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode.
  3. Click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.
  4. Pin it from the puzzle-piece icon so it's always one click away.
This manual step disappears soon — the extension is in review for the Chrome Web Store, after which it's a single Add to Chrome click.

STEP 04

Scan and fill

The everyday part. Once set up, this is all your front desk ever does.
  1. Scan the back of the guest's licence on your phone.
  2. Tap Send to Deck.
  3. On the guest form, click the CAELIS icon › Fill this page.
Two-page forms? Fill page one, click Next, then fill again — it always fills whatever's on screen. Fields you don't have simply stay empty.
If something's off

Quick answers.

The light is grey, not green
The deck app isn't running on that computer. Open CAELIS Deck again — it reconnects by itself, no re-pairing.
I closed the window — is it off?
No. The window is only the status screen. The deck keeps running in the background. Reopen it any time at 127.0.0.1:4780.
Where do I find the pair code again?
Only on the computer, in the deck window — never on this site. If it's already paired, there's no code to show; that's normal.
It says "No matching fields"
The form wasn't recognised. Make sure the guest form is the open tab, then click Fill again. If it keeps happening, tell us the PMS and we'll map it.
Chrome says the extension is "inactive"
That's Chrome's power saving, not a fault. It wakes instantly when you click it. Nothing to fix.
I want to move the deck to another computer
Remove it from your phone (Deck Listeners › X), then install and pair on the new machine. A removed deck shows a fresh code automatically.
